2.3 Foreground and Background Location

Where supported functionality requires location access while the application is in use, location may be accessed while the relevant feature is active.

We will not access location in the background unless the applicable feature genuinely requires such access, the relevant operating-system permission has been granted, and the use complies with applicable platform requirements and law.

Where background location is not necessary for a feature, we will not request or use background location.

On Android and iOS, location access is controlled by the operating system's permission mechanism.
